Abstract

247,881. Coursey, P. R., and Dubilier Condenser Co. (1925), Ltd. Oct. 19, 1925. Condensers comprise a plurality of sections connected in series, each section comprising a plurality of units connected in parallel, and each unit having one or more isolated plates. The block C comprises serially-connected sections A, insulated by means of plates B projecting beyond the sections alternately in opposite directions. Each section A, Fig. 2, comprises alternately arranged sheets m of dielectric material and d, e of conducting material, of which d are isolated or floating plates and e are main plates connected alternately with terminals G, H. Means may be provided for pressing the parts into intimate contact with one another and the invention may be applied to the constructions shown in Specifications 140,046, 195,266. 232,782, 244,231, and 246,559.
