Abstract

271,789. Dollard, J. March 2, 1927. Lighting, systems of. - The reflectors and shades of lamps for outdoor lighting made with four sides are so shaped and so arranged transversely and longitudinally in relation to the street or thoroughfare that the boundary lines 2 of the reflected beam from each light are inclined downwardly and intersect those of adjacent lamps at predetermined distances apart so as to form an arcade of artificial light. When the lamps are arranged in two rows, Fig. 2, one on each side of the road, the light from one lamp on one side of the road may extend transversely to the inner side of the footpath or to the garden or building on the opposite side of the road. Specifications 3637/80, 887/82, 18876/14, 193,515 and 208,045 are referred to.
