Non-conducting coverings for heat.-Strips A of compressed magnesia and/or asbestos moulded as flat blocks of rectangular cross sections are machined to the required curvature, and have their long sides a milled to the required radius. The strips are then cemented together side by side to form a composite block of the required area, which is covered on both surfaces by asbestos air-cell board B formed of plain and corrugated sheets. One or both ends and one or both sides amay be covered by plain asbestos board.
