Abstract
270,425. Victaulic Co., Ltd., and Knupffer, M. Feb. 10, 1926. Branches, connecting to mains; cup-leather joints.-The inlet nipple 4 of a radiator is adapted to communicate with the main pipe 2 of the heating systemby means of a hole 2<a> drilled in said pipe, fluid-tightness being secured by means of a hollow packing ring 5 of flexible material, having inturned lips 5a sealed by fluid pressure, adapted to be held on the pipe 2 and provided with an opening, also having inturned lips 5<b>, to receive the nipple 4. The packing ring 5 is preferably provided with a two-part housing 7. Specifications 270,816. and 149,381 are referred to.
