Vacuum tubes.-A metal ring 9, fixed to the base 2 and to the re-entrant tube of the envelope of a valve, serves to carry the grid structure 7 and for leading in the grid current. The lead 10 may be cylindrical and screwed into the inside of the ring 9. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of a cap instead of a ring. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
