Sulphamic acids; azo dyes. - Sulphamic acids obtained from coloured amino compounds are used for dyeing or printing cellulose esters; the latter may also be printed with the aid of sulphamic acids derived from dyestuffs containing at least one amino group, The following are specified :-the sulphamic acids from 1 : 4-diaminoanthraquinone, 1 : 5-diamino-4: 8-dihydroxyanthraquinone, and 1-amino-4-methosyanthraquinone; the sulphamic acid of the monoazo dyestuff from p-phenylenediamine and #-naphthol, obtained by treating p-nitroacetanilide with sodium bisulphite, splitting off the acetyl group, diazotizing and coupling with #-napbthol; and the sulphamic acid from 2: 4-dinitro-4<1>-aminodiphenylamine, obtained by condensing 2:4- dinitrochlorbenzene with the sodium salt of paminophenylsulphamic acid.
