Lids; contents, facilitating access to. -In a cigarette, match, &c. case of the type wherein an outer sheath b having one end open is associated with a drawer c carrying a hinged lid or closure a whose joints are so disposed that when the drawer is completely inserted into the sheath the lid is secured in the closed position, the drawer is formed of flexible sheet metal and has to be sprung into engagement with the sheath. To facilitate its withdrawal the drawer is so formed that the broad faces of the sheath are unsupported at the open end so that they can be pressed inwardly to afford access to the lid a. A web or partition d is provided within the drawer to support the lower portions of the broad faces of the sheath. A stud or projection e is arranged inside the rear wall of the sheath to engage the rear wall of the drawer to prevent complete withdrawal of the drawer. The lid a preferably has a convex filling piece f on its under side. Specification 30162/10 is referred to.
