Abstract

265,619. Allgemeine Elektricitõts- Ges. Feb. 6, 1926, [Convention date]. Cooling.-Air is circulated through the machine and over cooling-tubes arranged longitudinally at the sides of the machine. Several arrangements are described. In that shown in Fig. 2 the air passes laterally at the top of the machine into the cooler casings 4, thence into a pit 8 below the machine and returns through end casings 9. Fig. 5 shows an arrangement in which the air is drawn from the top of the machine by fans 12, 12' and returns through closed passages 7.
