Abstract
265,230. Schiffswerft Linz Akt.-Ges. Jan. 29, 1926, [Convention date]. Regulating delivery by by-passes.- In a valve more particularly for use as a mechanicallycontrolled overflow valve for the fuel pumps of internal combustion engines and having passages arranged partly in the valve casing 30, Fig. 2, and partly in a supporting structure 45, as shown, the valve casing is formed with a cylindrical portion 50 loosely fitted into a cylindrical bore of the supporting structure, such cylindrical parts being coaxial with the valve spindle 32 and packed by washers 54, 55 in planes normal to the axis of the spindle, as shown. In the form shown a screwed cap 57 retains the valve casing in position and ensures tight packing. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the valve casing is packed in parallel planes at 84 and 87<1>, respectively, and secured by a screwed sleeve 87.
