Abstract
264,639. Breeden, C. L. Dec. 11, 1925. Indicating. - A petrol tank gauge comprises a float a adapted to slide on vertical guides b and to rotate a helical spindle c which actuates a pointer g through gearing c', f<1>. The indicator casing comprises a ring d having two glass windows e, one of which is graduated, and the pointer is seen in silhouette against any object behind the dial, such as the road when the device is employed on a motor vehicle.
