Abstract
288,585. Mulot, L. April 12, 1927, [Convention date]. Linear - dimension gauges. - Comprises a particular construction of the dial indicating type. A casing 1 formed in one piece of aluminium bronze is provided with sockets 2, 3 in which slides a spindle 4 the upper part of which is graduated in millimetres each millimeter movement of the spindle causing the indicator hand to make a complete revolution. The middle part of the spindle is formed as a rack 6 which through gears 9, 10 transmits movement to a pinion 11 on the pointer spindle. The pinion 11 through a gear 13 is subjected to the influence of a coiled phosphor bronze spring 12 anchored at the point 14 to the casing. The spindle 4 is moved against the influence of a spring 17. The dial 8 made of white metal is provided with a circular scale of one hundred divisions and is numbered plus and minus on either side of a zero point. The dial is provided with a notch opposite the zero point and is adapted to be rotated by a spur gear 21 on the cover 22. The casing is secured by a filiform spring 23 two elbow stops 24, 25 on which pass through holes 26, 27 made in the casing. The spring is pressed back by inserting a bodkin into the opening 29 and at the same time rotating the cover 22. A bevelled glass 30 secured by a filiform spring 31 completes the cover. A lug 35 is provided at the back of the casing to enable the instrument to be mounted on any support.
