Abstract

264,572. Franklin, C. S., and Green, E. Oct. 19, 1925. Aerials; directive signalling.-An aerial system of the kind comprising a number of coplanar aerials energized with currents in phase with one another is fed with currents of strengths diminishing from the centre aerial outwards preferably at a uniform rate. Alternatively currents of equal strengths may be employed and the spacing of the aerials be such that the spacing distance increases from the centre outwards. Both methods may be employed in conjunction to reduce the number and intensity of the subsidiary beams produced.
