Dynamos, driving.- Tn the chain drive of an engine accessory 2 such as a dynamo wherein a sprocket wheel 5 is keyed or similarly mounted on the shaft of the dynamo, a. bracket 14 is placed within the chain 9 near to the sprocket wheel; if the dynamo. is to be removed, its shaft is withdrawn from the sprocket wheel and the bracket then prevents the sprocket from falling into the bottom of the casing 8. As shown, the sprocket wheel is held on to the shaft by the nut 11, a small inspection hole 12 allowing access to the nut. If the casing 8 is close enough to the sprocket wheel to prevent its endwise movement the nut is not used, a cap on the sprocket wheel resting on a set-screw in the case. In a modification the bracket 14 is detachable and only placed in position when it is desired to remove the dynamo.
