Rollers and roller heads.-In drawing-mechanism for mules, roving frames, finishing flyers, and fine roving frames, the slubbing is supported by an outwardly curved band 20 which travels at the same speed as the slubbing and is supported by a plate 18 and passes over a fixed or movable support 28 mounted close to the nip of the front rollers 14, 15. The band is driven by a roller 21 and tensioned by a roller 22, and may be cleaned by a brush roller. Two mechanisms may be arranged to treat the material successively. The top rollers 13, 15 may be selfweighted.
