261,010. Ryback, H. Nov. 4, 1925, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Pads and padding; materials, special.-A pad for preventing chafing of the thighs comprises a kidney-shaped strip 1 of impervious but soft and supple material provided at one end with buttons 3 and at the other with fastening strips 4 which may be of rubber with slit buttonholes. The outer surface of the strip is smooth and impervious, and the inner surface, which may be an insertion held in place by the hem 2, is soft and absorptive. A suitable material is rubber smooth on one side and spongy on the other, or rubber with an insertion of flannel. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of the material known in Germany as " schmaschengewehe," which has the characteristics of soft leather from the skin of still-born lambs. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
