Abstract

260,531. Tartavel, P. E. Aug. 12, 1926. Goloshes; sandals; athletic overshoes; soles.- An overshoe consisting of spaced elements of wood or other material, with means for securing it to the foot, is characterized in that the elements or laths b of wood &c. are assembled in spaced relation by metallic threads e which may be bare or covered with rubber or other composition. The threads e pass through the laths and through spacing rings c in two substantially parallel lines, forming at the ends abutments for fixing on the shoe or foot. Side abutments f are also provided to keep the foot or shoe in place. In the case of a high heeled shoe, the heel part of the overshoe is omitted. The end abutments can be replaced by loops, straps or other methods of attachment. Uppers may also be mounted on these latticed soles.
