Abstract

315,634. Auster, L. Oct. 5, 1928. Sandals; slippers. -A rubber or like bathing sandal comprising a sole 9, toe straps 11, 12, instep straps 13, and heel piece and ankle straps 16, 18 is moulded in one piece with all its parts in a flat condition, as shown. This facilitates packing, &c. The ankle straps are preferably moulded in one piece, and afterwards divided along the line 22, and the instep straps may also be formed as a continuous piece, and then cut. In a modification, the sole is moulded with an upstanding marginal flange from which the attaching straps spring. In another modification, the straps 13, 18 are moulded in the flat condition, but extended laterally of the sole portion.
