Abstract

260,351. Morris, E. T. July 29, 1925. Associating - apparatus. - Relates to a sheet-insetting apparatus for printing- machines of the kind in which sheets cut from a web 8 printed by one machine are inset between sheets cut from a web 1 driven at a higher speed, the sheets cut by cylinders 10, 11, being forwarded by a roller 13 cooperating at intervals with the cylinder 11. According to the present invention other feeding means, such as frictional rollers 16, 17, with depressed parts 18, 19 are employed between the roller 13 and the sheet-collecting cylinder 6. The inset sheet is thue fed by the rollers 16, 17 to a collecting-cylinder 6, which receives two sheets cut by cylinders 3, 4 for each sheet fed by the rollers 16, 17. The cylinder 6 and a cooperating cvlinder 7 advance the associated sheets to folding mechanism.
