Abstract
260,107. Bowskill, S. Nov. 9, 1925. Bottling.-In a machine for filling bottles with different kinds of liquids, all the liquids are conveyed separately by an upper stationary member a to an intermediate stationary member o which, on rotation of an adjacent lower member t, is adapted to convey the liquids separately and successively into the bottles. Syrup supplied through a pipe c in the upper stationary member a passes to a port p in the intermediate member o which is enclosed by a flange b on the member a, whilst water supplied to the member a by a pipe d flows directly to a long port s in the intermediate member o and indirectly through a passage g and removable valves m to ports q, r therein. The ports p, q, r, s are arranged circumferentially in the intermediate member. As the lower member t rotates, bottles connected to pipes w thereon receive successively through the ports p, q, r, s a charge of syrup, a small charge of water, a greater charge of water and a filling charge of water. The intermediate member is disposed in a recess in the upper member and secured against rotation by lugs z which engage recesses in the upper member.
