Work-guides.-A work-guide is mounted on the work-plate in such a manner that it can be turned aside out of operative position and at the same time raised from the work-plate. In the arrangement shown in the drawings a binder-guide c is carried by an arm h pivotally mounted at i on a wedge-shaped block k secured to the workplate, so that on rotation about the pivot the arm h is lifted away from the plate. A latch device comprising a spring plate y having an aperture w for engagement by a pin v and a finger piece x keeps the guide in operative position. In an alternative construction the guidearm is mounted on a pivot 1, Fig. 5, having a helical groove m for engagement by a pin n on the arm.
