Abstract

259,770. Symons, G. H. F. Oct. 23, 1925. Lids and covers.-The lid of a polish or like tin is formed with a single substantially conoidal internal projection 5<b>, Fig. 3, adapted to rest against the upper edge of the body part when the tin is closed, the construction being stated to facilitate opening by pressure applied to the lid flange at opposite points equidistant from the projection. A depression 5d to facilitate completion of the opening may be provided. In the form shown in Fig. 4 the opening may be effected by pressure exerted on the raised portion 5b.
