Coke ovens.-The frame of a coke oven door is built up of two side members 1 and top and bottom members 2, 3 each of L-section, a central member 4 of T-section and transverse members 5 of L-section riveted to the side and central members 1 and 4. The openwork frame is provided with a supplementary cast iron frame 6 riveted to the side and top members and provided either with a door 7 or with a stopper. The spaces enclosed by the angle sections are filled with fire brick slabs 12 tongued and grooved to fit one into the other.
