Spring surfaces.-The end of a helical upholstery spring is secured to webbing straps by means of a fixing member disposed inside the seating part of the spring and formed by bending the end of the wire of the spring round the pre. ceding coil as at 3 and extending inwards in the plane of the seating to form a small ring 5. This ring is secured to the webbing 7, 7<1> by a hook or coupling comprising an end part 8 and two hooks 9, 9' bent over the ring 5.
