Bodies.-In road vehicle bodies of the flexible type in which the frame is covered by leather or other flexible material, the body is composed of a set of individual component sections each in the form of a flexible unit comprising a skeleton frame covered on both sides with leather, fabric. &c. which is capable of yielding to accommodate relative movement between the different members of the framework. The various sections preferably constitute the roof, floor, and back, sides, and front panels and may be packed into a small space for transit. In the form shown, the sections comprise the rear panel 26, Fig. 7, side panels 15, Fig. 1, doors 16, 17, post 18, roof panel, front panel, Fig. 8, floor, Fig. 11, and front cowl panel 49. The sections comprise frame members consisting of uprights 19, Fig. 2, and transverse members 20 interconnected by known flexible joints 21, the frame members being covered on both sides by flexible material 22, 23, Fig. 13. The roof panel comprises side longitudinals, end and intermediate cross-bars, and spaced longitudinal strips, the whole being covered on both sides bv flexible material. The floor comprises longitudinals 30, Fig. 11, transverse members 31, 32, and floor boards 33. The various uprights are connected to the roof and floor by flexible joints. The uprights 19 of the rear and side panels are interconnected as shown in Fig. 13, the inner lining 23 being left as shown in dotted lines to facilitate assembling and afterwards fastened down.
