368,512. Road vehicle bodies. DASTE, M. J., 12, Rue Pierre Lhomme, Courbevoie, Seine, France. Feb. 27, 1931, No. 6210. Convention date, Oct. 1, 1930. [Class 108 (i).] In closed vehicle bodies comprising a bottom platform fixed to the chassis to carry a sectional body framing the roof and back portion formed as one section and connected at the rear to the platform is connected by flexible joints to the top of one or more forward sections, likewise connected to the platform by flexible joints which are of the " silent-bloc " type. The roof e and rear part f are connected rigidly at f<1> to the body bottom sides a<1>, a<2> while the members o<1>, o<2> are connected to the sides a<1>, a<2> by flexible joints p<1>, q<1>, p<2>, q<2> which allow angular and longitudinal movement between the relative parts. The front of the roof e is supported on the wind-screen rail r by means of a pin s<1> and socket s<2> and flexible joints permitting a swinging movement about the pin s<1>. The pillars h<1>, h<2> built rigidly with the scuttle frame g, g<1>, i are connected to the sides a<1>, a<2> by flexible joints m<1>, n<1>, m<2>, n<2> permitting movement in the direction indicated by the arrow F. Intermediate pillars l<1>, l<2> are connected to the roof and bottom sides a<1>, a<2> by similar joints. The scuttle is stayed from the chassis d by struts j. The flexible joints are such as are described in Specifications 243,679, 270,694, [both in Class 65 (ii), Hinges &c.], and 347,427.
