259,160. Schloemann Akt.-Ges. Nov. 6, 1925, [Convention date]. Addition to 259,159. Rolling. - A cooling-bed as claimed in the parent Specification for effecting the desired density of distribution of the sections, comprises a grating f, the undivided bars of which are rocked by a crank l and linked rod k so that the upper edge l of the grating is lowered and raised, the lowering of which lowers the sections to rest on and be moved continuously by a chain conveyor h. Uniform spacing of the sections is altered. by altering the time the sections are lowered in contact with the conveyor which is obtained by altering the initial slope of the bars f of the grating by turning the handwheel in to take up the rod k or by mechanical adjustment. For uniform distribution the upper edge e of the grating is parallel to the top i of the conveyor but to vary the distribution the edge e is arranged at a slope to the conveyor. Varying distribution in groups may be got by turning the handwheel m during working. Instead of a chain convever rails moving backwards and forwards or oscillating bodies moved backwards and forwards may be used.
