Glazing.-Sheets of glass are secured in frames of windows, glasshouses, &c., by means of a sheet-metal capping 1 bolted to the frame and provided with a double-bent part 12, 13 extending between the glass and frame and terminating in an extension 10 bearing on the glass, with or without putty. When applied to vertical frames, the glass, sheet 11<1>. Fig. 2, is provided with a grooved rib 16 adapted to engage the extension 10. In fixing inclined overlapping sheets, the metal strips 7, Fig. 8, are of elongated trapezoidal shape, the adjacent edges being covered by strips 48 soldered to one strip and curved and bent substantially at right-angles. Additional covering elements consisting of bent sheets having side wings 20, Fig. 4, may be applied over the capping.
