Abstract
367,538. Glazing roofs. ASSELER, J., D', 33, Rue du Strop, Ghent, Belgium. Jan. 30, 1931, No. 3078. Convention date, Feb. 12, 1930. [Class 20 (iii).] Capping strips for glazed roofs are made of channel section with side flanges, the channel embracing the stem 102 of a T-shaped wood or metal glazing bar and the flanges 132, 133 bearing on the glass edges and elastically holding the putty in the joints. The capping strips are preferably of the same length as the glass sheets and the overlap is so positioned that the under capping 123 butts against the upper glass sheet 109. The securing bolts, pins, &c. 130 are preferably passed through the overlap of the capping strips. One end of each capping strip is expanded to fit over the smaller end of the overlapped strip. Specification 339,788, [Class 20 (iii), Doors &c.], is referred to.
