Abstract

266,678. Kleinhans, A. B. March 1, 1926, [Convention date]. Glazing. - The astragals 13 supporting slates, shingles, glass, or other covering 14 are made of sheet metal bent to channel section with flanges 16, and are secured to and spaced from stringers 12 by lugs 18. The necks of the lugs are tapered to allow flexing of the sides of the astragals and the flow of moisture down the edges of the flanges, and are secured by pins 19 passing through slots in the lugs. The lugs have shoulders 21 engaging the stringers and are secured thereto by single rivets or bolts 22. The astragals and covering extend beyond and below the eaves of the supporting framework 10, 11.
