Abstract

258,335. Belk, W. P. June 17, 1925. Electric hot-plates. -An electric hotplate A is provided with an upstanding flange A<1> into which the vessel C to be heated fits closely. The flange A<1> is of such height as to extend round part of the contents of the vessel. The plate A may also be provided with a downwardly extending flange A<2>, Fig. 4, enclosing the heating-element B and heat-insulating material B<2>. The plate A may be formed with a central projection A<3> fitting into a corresponding necess in the bottom of the vessel.
