Abstract
258,224. Gailhat, J. Sept. 11, 1925, [Convention date]. Vapour engines.-In a power plant, the feed pump 6 of a boiler 2 generating carbon dioxide or other gaseous fluid having a critical temperature below the temperature of the boiler and above the temperature of the condenser, is operated' by an engine 1 supplied with gaseous fluid directly from the boiler, the exhaust from the engine being mixed in a receiver 3, from which the pump 6 draws the boiler feed, with such a quantity of condensate from the main condenser 5 that the mixture is brought to near the critical state. The condensate is supplied to the receiver by a pump 4. The pumps and the engine are connnected to the shaft of the main engine.
