Abstract

Pickers.-To form a picker, the ends of a raw - hide blank A, Fig. 1, which are recessed at a to form the shuttle striking fare a', Fig. 5, are folded over at a<2>, Fig. 4, and then the blank is folded at a'. Finally a folded piece of raw hide B is inserted as shown and the picker is pressed into shape in the die or dies. The picker is formed with the usual spindle passage a' and is secured together by rivets a<5>. The striking face for the shuttle may be arranged centrally or at one side of the picker.
