Abstract

426,863. Loom pickers. BURGERSTEIN, L., Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland. Oct. 1, 1934, No. 28098. [Class 142 (iii)] In pickers formed of strips of raw hide folded to form a sleeve 1<a> around the spindle hole 1<b> for the reception of the picking strap through the slot 2, the sleeve is made of considerable height and is flattened laterally, as shown, while an exterior shell 3 of raw hide folded about the line l, Fig. 6, is riveted to the body part and provides a guide foot 3<a>. The closed end of the foot is arranged at the shuttleengaging end of the picker. In a modification, the central cut-away part of the shell blank, Fig. 6, is left solid, so that the inner layers are covered on one end of the picker.
