Abstract

412,216. Loom pickers. BAIRSTOW, H., 42, Devonshire Street, and SMITH, R., 8, East Avenue, both in Keighley, Yorkshire. Dec. 21, 1932, No. 36164. [Class 142 (iii).] A picker of aluminium or aluminium alloy, is formed with a recess d and a part f around the hole 2<a> for the picking- spindle. A slot h is provided in the part f for the reception of a felt pad h<1> containing lubricant. A rectangular recess a is provided for the reception of strips b of raw hide for engagement with the shuttle tip, an aperture being provided through which an instrument may be passed for removing the layers of hide when worn. According to the Provisional Specification a folded piece of raw hide may be secured to a flat shuttle engaging portion formed on the picker. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 4871/85, [Class 142], and 606/10, [Class 142 (iii)].
