Abstract

282,585. Masarnau, F., and Deloustal, R. April 28, 1927. Pickers for multiple shuttle box looms are formed from a piece 1 of leather or other material doubled on itself and moulded to form a cylindrical head 2 having a bore 3 for one picker spindle, an intermediate expansion 6 having an aperture 7 for another picker spindle 8, and a shuttle-engaging part 10 formed by bending an extended portion of one part of the piece 1 over the other part. Holes 11 are formed for securing the picking-strap, and the picker is held together by rivets 16 or copper fasteners 15. Instead of forming the picker from a single thickness of material, it may be formed of a piece of leather &c. composed of superimposed pieces.
