Abstract

333,863. Parker, H. A., and Bradshaw, G. March 5, 1930. Pickers of the overpick type, having two lateral slots formed across the top of the picker for the passage of the strap so that the latter can be attached to a central portion by a peg &c., are extended from one or both sides at the top and formed with a centrallyraised portion made by folding two or more thicknesses of the picker material upon itself, slots C then being formed transversely across the top of the picker, and the centrally-raised portion then taking the form of a rounded bar around which the picker strap is looped or folded and secured by a peg &c. The picker is made from a blank A and smaller filling piece B, a wire or staple D securing the folded portion of the body of the picker together after the folded blank and filling piece have been put into a press for the final pressing operation.
