395,662. Mops. WHATHAM, A. and WHATHAM, H. W., (trading as WHATHAM & WHATHAM), 9, Sykes Street, Hulme, Manchester. March 29, 1933, No. 9420. [Class 19.] Fringe mops in which the fibrous material is attached to a tubular band to slide over a holder have the band gapped or slotted to facilitate replacement or removal. The slit edges are preferably closed by a fastener. One or more slots b are formed in a tube B preferably lying on the top edge of a holder C. Where no fastening device is employed, the edges of the slot are preferably bound with woven material. A fastening device D of the zipp type may be used, or other fasteners such as lacing, press studs, or buttons. The device is applicable to various shaped mop heads.
