Abstract
257,142. Kremner, L. Dec. 1, 1925. Inductances.-In low-capacity inductance coils for wireless receiving sets, the dielectric foundation of the coil comprises separate, flat plates a, Fig. 3, laterally spaced apart opposite to each other to form slots or spaces b in which the wire is wound sectionally in separate sets of windings, one in each space, the wire being led from one slot b to another and all sets started before one set is completed. The plates a may be of pentagonal or circular form and may be separated by similarly shaped and positioned distance-pieces e, an even number of plates a being preferably used to form an odd number of slots b. The plates a are slotted to facilitate the passage of the wire from one slot b to another. Each set of windings may comprise sections with separators d, Fig. 5, and each section may comprise pyramidal coils as shown in Fig. 6. The coil may be wound in single layers in the sets in succession, each layer consisting of a number of turns side by side. Layers may be wound successively in slot separated by a slot receiving a subsequent layer and succeeding turns in each layer may have subsequent turns interposed. The roder in which the sections may be wound in a five-slot former is shown numerically in Fig. 5, whilst Fig. 6 show the order in which successive turns are wound when layers x of five turns are wound successively in slots b<1>, b<3>, b<5>, b<2>, b<4>, Fig. 5, then layers y of four turns and then layers z of three turns. The two outer plates a have extensions a' between which plug-and-socket connections, or an ebonite block: g carrying the connections, may be secured.
