Abstract

256,748. Southorne, W. H. June 25, 1925. Hubs. - The hub i of a perambulator &c. wheel is slotted at its inner end to engage driving-lugs g on a bush b which is secured on the axle a by a nut e. The wheel is secured by a capnut threaded on the bush b and permanently carried by the hub i. For the latter purpose, the nut l is shown flanged at n to engage the flared end of the wheel hub. Fig. 6 shows a modification in which a spring-collar x is fitted in a cup w between the bush and the axle collar c. Staggered holes t are provided in the bush to receive lubricant.
