Abstract

256,460. Johnson, G. H. Dec. 24, 1925. Lighting systems; supplying and controlling consuming devices.-A lamp for projecting light laterally and somewhat backwardly of a vehicle is illuminated automatically by the action of dimming, dipping, or otherwise adjusting the headlights. The headlights 2, 3 are normally connected in parallel with a battery 8, but on moving a double-throw switch 9 from contacts 11 to 12, the laterally directed lamp 4 is connected to the battery and the headlights arranged in series in a shunt circuit.
