Abstract
231,842. Bosch Akt.-Ges., R. April 3, 1924, [Convention date]. Lighting systems.-The lamp b on the dashboard of a motor vehicle is normally run in series with one or more other lamps c also mounted on the dash-board so as to give a distributed and reduced light. On removal of the lamp b from its socket g, its leads being wound on a spring drum f, a switch e automatically short circuits the other lamps c causing the lamps b to glow at maximum brilliancy. In an alternative arrangement the switch e is operated when the lamp b is turned in its socket.
Improved means for controlling the lighting ofan automobile lamp, or other lamp, fromthe instrument board, and for automatically indicating tothe driver whether such light is oris not illuminated
