Abstract

256,260. King Manufacturing Corporation, (Assignees of Smallbone, H. E.). July 30, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Vacuum tubes. - A valve-holder has one or more flexible contact members adapted to embrace the sides of the valve contacts. The contacts 10, Fig. 5, may be pressed from a blank, and are mounted in grooves in a holder 15 so as to project radially. The sockets of the contacts are of larger cross-section at their upper part than lower down. A transverse plate 17 with guide-holes for the valve pins may be provided. The holder may be mounted by S-shaped springs 16 on a hollowed base 14. Screws may be provided to limit the downward movement of the holder. In a modification the holder 15 is formed integrally with the base and the springs 16 are omitted. In a further modification the holder has a notch to receive the pin of a valve of the American type.
