Abstract

Winding-machines. - A groove 3, Fig. 3, in which the knots formed in piecing may be placed so as to be out of the path of the yarn during subsequent winding, is formed in a yarn package by the pressure of a pointed tool 4, which is adjustably mounted by a slot 5 and bolt 6 on a bracket 9 secured to a member 12 as shown in Fig. 1. The tool 4 may be provided at its end with a pressing roller of porcelain or glass.
