Abstract

254,214. Fleuriau, D. June 27, 1925, [Convention date]. Look-out reflectors. - In an arrangement of three reflecting mirrors upon a motor or like vehicle for giving the driver a view of the traffic both to the front and rear, the three mirrors 8, 9, 11, of which 8 and 11 provide the view to the front and 9 the view to the rear, are mounted upon a single telescopic arm 3, which is attached to the windscreen 1 or to a front panel of the vehicle and is disposed below or preferably above the set of mirrors so as not to interfere with the driver's field of view. In the construction shown the mirrors are carried by supporting rods 5, 6, which are pivoted at the outer end of the arm 3 and to which the mirrors are hinged by balljoints 7, the rod 5 carrying the mirrors 8, 9 and the rod 6 carrying the mirror 11 through the medium of a further adjustable rod 10.
