Look-out reflectors and like observation devices.-In a modification of the arrangement described in the parent Specification for enabling a vehicle driver to obtain an early view of a cross road which he is approaching, the light from the objects seen is received by a convex mirror or concave lens and transmitted to one or more plane reflecting surfaces and thence to the driver, so that no lateral inversion occurs. In the construction shown, means for obtaining a view both to the right and left hand sides of the road are combined in a single casing, which may be hinged for adjustment purposes, the optical system shown in Fig. 1 comprising convex mirrors A<1>, A<2> and co-operating plane mirrors C<1>, C<2>, while the system shown in Fig. 3 comprises concave lenses F', F<2> and plane mirrors G<1>, H<1>, G<2>, H<2>, An auxiliary or viewing lens may be arranged near to the driver as described in the parent Specification. The device may be mounted at the back of a motor-car to assist drivers when backing into a side street or garage, or it may be arranged on an aeroplane to give the pilot a view above or below the plane, or it may be supported in a fixed position at street corners or cross roads for assisting the drivers of approaching vehicles.
