Abstract
254,130. Luscher, E. Aug. 7, 1925. Liquids, treating with gases.-In apparatus for mixing liquids and gases comprising two rotary atomizers F, S adapted to be rotated in opposite directions or in the same directions at different speeds, the member S has a depending centrifugal casing A for supplying the liquids and gases and the member F has deflecting plates G situated between openings B, B<1> and deflecting plates D on the member S. Outlets T, V, V<1> are provided for removing the products of the reactions, and a ring-shaped mantle P serves to separate the gaseous from the liquid and solid products. Supply nozzles R, R<1> enable further materials to be introduced into the reacting mixture. In a modification, the reacting bodies are introduced separately through pipes H, H<1>, H<2>, &c. by a series of superposed coaxial elements A, A<1>, A<2> and caused to emerge through the outlet ports B, B<1>, B<2> in superposed sheets by interposing therebetween star shaped rings I, I<1>, I<2>, Fig. 2, having bent projecting points.
