Reel and non-endless web apparatus.-In destination indicators on vehicles, comprising a band wound on and off two rollers which are actuated by a shaft carrying pinion wheels, the winding-on roller being determined by the direction in which the shaft is turned, the shaft D is longitudinally movable in its bearings E and carries two pins G each engageable with a ratchet C<2> on the loose pinions C. Rotation of the shaft bv the handle L causes one of the pins G to slide over its ratchet teeth and move the shaft so that the other pin G engages its ratchet. Spring - pressed leather brakes K are provided to tension the band. Specification 2885/10 is referred to.
