Abstract

253,353. Costaguta, D. June 4, 1925. Motor spirit consists of the usual volatile hydrocarbons and about 4.5 per cent of a mixture of liquid hydrocarbon or hydrocarbons with one or more ethers and a nitrophenol. A mixture specified is 3 litres of ether, 1 litre of trinitrophenol, and 96 litres of a liquid hydrocarbon of 0.8 density. Naphtha, ligroin, and petroleum ether are specified at suitable hydrocarbons.
