Abstract

252,306. Mead, A. Feb. 28, 1925. Annular boilers. - An annular boiler 3 is surrounded by a refractory casing 11 so spaced from the boiler as to form an annular chamber 12 into which heating gases are introduced tangentially through openings 15 and from which the gases pass through smoketubes 13 into the central flue 8 opening at its lower end into the chimney. The boiler is formed of two tubes closed at their upper ends and connected together at their lower ends.
