Testing springs.-Comprises apparatus for testing the behaviour of springs or groups of springs when subjected to dynamic shocks. The spring 5 under test is mounted on hangers 4 the supports of which are carried by a frame 2 and are adjustable by a hand-wheel 4b. The frame is loaded by variable weights 3 and has rollers 2<a> running on the sides of the standard 1. The frame may be pivoted, and adjustable stops 9 are provided. A roller 6 clipped to the spring bears upon a rotary cam 7 or other undulating track. The cam 7 is driven by belts from a motor, and the movements of the spring are recorded by a device 8.
